Basement Flooding

Flooding in a basement can occur after a large storm. If your foundation has a crack water is sure to sneak its way right in. That can cause more serious problems like mold!
There are ways however to try and keep your basement clean and dry. One way is to add gutter extensions. This way the downspouts are dumping water a certain amount of feet away from your home. A second way is to plug the gaps. That means that you if you notice water coming through to your basement you can plug them with certain cements or caulking’s. A third way would be to fix your landscaping. Beams are usually a good choice and with the help of a landscaper you can help redirect that water in a flash.
